Henry Harrison Walker

Henry Harrison Walker (October 15, 1832 – March 22, 1912) was a Confederate States Army brigadier general during the American Civil War (Civil War). He was born in Sussex County, Virginia. He graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York in 1853 and served as an officer in the United States Army from 1853 to 1861. Walker was wounded twice during the war and lost his left foot. After the war, he became an investment broker at Morristown, New Jersey where he lived until 1912.

ISBN 0-8071-0823-5. p. 318.〕 He graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York in 1853, forty-first in a class of fifty-two.〔〔 On July 1, 1853, he was appointed a brevet second lieutenant in the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment.〔 On March 3, 1855, he became a full grade second lieutenant in the 6th U.S. Infantry Regiment.〔 Walker was promoted to first lieutenant on May 1, 1857.〔 Walker served in garrison duty on the frontier.〔Boatner, Mark Mayo, III.
